Lucifer the Television series: Brooke-shea McKinney
I touched on Lucifer Morningstar a bit in the beginning of the semester in my artifact but I wanted to revisit the topic and provide more details about the show in its entirety and a few things I did not mention in class discussion.
Lucifer himself is actually quite interesting because he could be described as three separate people almost in one being Lucifer (human adjacent), an archangel, and the devil himself. I think it's quite interesting that he is depicted in. Multiple forms all of which could draw upon Cohen's thesis about desire. Throughout the entirety of the series he gains an endless amount of names or aliases for example Samael (birth name), The lightbringer, Satan, and Helel just to name a few. In the series he is the identical twin to Michael whom we’ve also mentioned in class in other contexts. The show basically displays him after a failed rebellion against his father being banished from heaven and being condemned too oversee the torture of damned human souls as the ruler of Hell. Lucifer is known to tempt Eve in the garden of Eden which causes her as well as Adam to live on earth for the rest of their lives. Following this Lilith who happens to be a friend of Lucifer is brought into the storyline as well as many other biblical characters. A lot of the appearances we see are by Lucifer's siblings and the family tree can get quite confusing. I’ve listed a link below to the shows fandom page that has a family tree that shows who and how everyone is connected. Overall the show is quite an interesting adaptation of ancient religious story’s, with its obvious romantic tendencies as well as dramatization. The show may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I personally recommend it to anyone who has the time.

Nice post! I think it is important to remember that Lucifer in Eden is a Christian tradition and not something in the Hebrew Bible. It makes me wonder why early Christians assumed snake = devil. Hmmmmm.
