ReplyDeleteGenesis discussion from class discussion 2/23 - Emma Webb: today we discussed the Hebrew Bible and the different books where god, or gods are interoperated and how Satan or The Satan is interoperated. When we talked about Genesis I found the discussion of the interpretation of the garden to been a challenging interpretation when looking at it from a social stand point. The garden, Adam or if you prefer (man) and Eve ( women) are metaphors and the ( serpent snake, Satan) as the temptation same thing, the metaphor is the ability to have free will and to be able to choose, as some might understand to be original sin this is where cleansing of the soul weather that be a baptism or mikvah . feel free to discuss :)
